    • Story Interactions: We store your choices during gameplay, including pre-defined selections and any custom text you enter. The AI-generated story content (storylines, chapters, titles, summaries, and artwork prompts) is also saved and linked to your session.
    • Anonymous Content: If you use our Service without an account, we store the content you create in an anonymous session. If you choose to register, you will have the option to link this content to your new account.

B. Information We Collect Automatically

  • Usage and Log Data: We automatically log technical information when you access and use Storymaker. This includes your IP address, browser type, operating system, access times, and the actions you take on the platform (like starting a session or generating a chapter). This data is used for security, rate limiting, and debugging.
  • Cookies and Local Storage: We use cookies and browser local storage to manage your session, keep you logged in, and track anonymous sessions before you register.

C. Analytics Information

We use third-party analytics services like Mixpanel to understand how our users interact with Storymaker. When you perform actions like registering, we may send event data that helps us improve our service. This may include your username and the source of the event (e.g., 'Register Page').

  • Provide and Operate the Service: Your account information and UGC are essential for us to run the platform, generate your stories, save your progress, and authenticate your access.
  • Improve and Personalize the Service: As stated in our terms at registration, we may use your user-generated content in an anonymized and aggregated manner for analytical purposes and to train and improve our AI models and the overall service.

You have rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access and Update: You can access and update your account information through your account settings (if applicable).
  • Data Deletion: You can request the deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us. Please note that deleting your account will permanently remove all your stories, prompts, and progress. We may retain certain anonymized or aggregated data for analytical and compliance purposes.
  • Managing Cookies: You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Service.
